Kitty Cheung, co-founder of Romer String Quartet and Contrast Trio (violin-saxophone-piano), and the Associate Concertmaster of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. She has also performed in London Symphony Orchestra and Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and have worked with conductors including Valery Gergiev, Pierre Boulez and Sir Colin Davis. She led ensembles which had made recordings for Loft Records, New World Records and Bridge Records (nominated for a Latin Grammy). Cheung has given solo recitals in Germany, Vienna, UK, USA, Thailand, Hong Kong and Shanghai, and made solo appearances with orchestras including the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Hong Kong City Chamber Orchestra. She also recorded broadcast performances for BBC Radio 3 and Radio Television Hong Kong. Cheung has given masterclasses at Lakes Area Chamber Music Festival (USA), Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music (Thailand), Hong Kong Baptist University, and Valley Symphonic Society (Malaysia).

As an active chamber musician, Cheung enjoys giving recitals and leading educational workshops in various concert venues such as Chamber Tots in Wigmore Hall in London, as well as community projects in schools, hospitals and elderly homes. The Romer Quartet was engaged by the Hong Kong Arts Festival and Kota Kinabalu String Music Festival, and was the Quartet-in-Residence at Hong Kong New Music Ensemble's "Modern Academy". Contrast Trio was featured in Hong Kong Sinfonietta's "ArtisTree Residency" Series, Hong Kong "Hell Hot!" New New Music Festival, and have been invited as soloist-ensemble with the Pan Asia Symphony Orchestra.

She holds Doctor of Musical Arts degree and Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music, where she also won prizes in excellence in teaching, excellence in chamber music and the best doctoral lecture recital. She served as the Teaching Assistant of Professor Charles Castleman and violin instructor. She received Master of Music and Master in Music Performance (Guildhall Artist) degrees, both with distinction from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She studied under the tutelage of Lin Yao-Ji, Hong-Ying Ho, Charles Castleman, David Takeno and Zvi Zeitlin.
